How Forbes embraced the chaos

Forbes business mag, the one with the lists and Republican leanings, is showing the rest of the press how it’s done online, byembracing the chaos ie the bloggers. They set up a mini outpost on WordPress – the New Newsroom -in which they curated bloggers, promoting them on its main sites and helping them by giving them automated access to file images.
It shows the benefit of an early start online (1996) and a focused product/niche ie business. But one thing is for sure, as much as newspapers want to make their current staff into all singing, all blogging, video jockeys, they will have to reach out and curate the hinterland of bloggers before it swamps them. Feel the community, lead the community… C mon!
